Stories of Tech HERoes is an AR app designed to inspire children by narrating the stories of women who have made significant achievements in the tech industry. In a field often dominated by men, it's crucial for children to see diverse role models and feel represented from a young age. With this app, children can interact with historical tech figures in a fun and engaging way. They can meet Ada Lovelace and her pet parrot, or share some virtual cookies with Grace Hopper. These interactive experiences aim to educate and inspire the next generation by highlighting the contributions of these tech pioneers. The app was developed using Swift and Reality Composer, with illustrations created in Blender. Stories of Tech HERoes uses augmented reality to bring these stories to life, making history both accessible and enjoyable for young users.
